I have been so blessed to meet many beautiful and creative women in my life. They inspire me daily and my favorite is when a morning coffee date with a friend can push me to dream big and that the sky is the limit when it comes to our dreams. This is never more true than my coffee date yesterday with the lovely Mollie Busby. Mollie was the former style editor of a women’s lifestyle magazine in Madison WI called BRAVA Magazine. She has her degree in journalism and retail, and blogged for years on fashion, style and all the random little things that interested her. The first two things I ever noticed about Mollie was that she 1. is very in love with her husband, and can not stop smiling when she talks about him and 2. dreams big and accomplishes those dreams through hard work.
Today, Mollie’s full time job is running a nonprofit called Riding On Insulin that hosts action sports camps for kids, teens and adults living with Type 1 Diabetes. This organization is called RidingOnInsulin and the opportunities she creates for these kids is awesome. Mollie and her husband Sean moved to Whitefish in the past year and I love seeing how they take every opportunity Whitefish has to offer and run with it. From dancing down town to the dog park you can find these guys all over! Sean is one of the coolest guys I have met and is a backcountry snowboarder, plus he has great style. They have a Weimeraner name Daisy, who like my dog, is like a child to them. Together, Sean and Mollie run their website (not just a blog) at TwoSticksAndABoard.com (Instagram: TwoSticksAndABoard, Twitter: 2Sticks1Board, Facebook: Two Sticks and a Board) which chronicles their day to day adventures and the ski/snowboard expeditions around the world they take. It’s an adventure lifestyle blog with the mission to inspire a sense of adventure in families of all sizes.
These two capture a beautiful picture of a western couple. I love being able to spotlight this awesome dream of theirs on my blog and hope that you head on over to their blog and check them out! I love this quote from their about page which I feel explains their heart behind everything they do ” As a married couple with a Weimeraner, we aim to capture our adventures—big and small—through photos and words to show our audience that adventure is just around the corner—nothing should keep you from exploring the outdoors and pursuing your passions. Nine-to-five job? No problem. Three kids? Take them with! There are always creative ways to explore the communities in which people live. With Mollie’s background as a journalist and Sean’s as a professional athlete, we’ve combined our efforts to become adventure ambassadors. We hope you’ll join us on our journey, from wedding vows to shredding pow”.
These picture were taken yesterday after Mollie and I met for tea and breakfast. We had a great time wandering around town and taking some rainy day pictures. I am SO excited to share these clothes with you. This shirt is my first crop top and although I am not a huge fan of showing off my belly I love how this shirt is high low and the front cuts a little short. The color is a great fall and winter color and paired with this native scarf from PacSun (shout out to my brother for buying the scarf for my birthday<3) I think this outfit will become one of my fall favorites. This shirt is from Harlow and I know that Becky has a few more in stock so give her a call if you are interested!
Poisonberry is a jewelry company based off the shores of Flathead Lake. I love this line of jewelry because of its ties to the state I love. All of the inspiration for Poisonberry comes from our surroundings and I love that it is handmade. If you have not checked out their stuff, look at their website and you can find a selection of jewelry at Mum’s Flowers in Whitefish.
